The show is set in the 1980s and follows the lives of a group of young friends living in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana. Stranger Things first aired in July 2016 and released its latest season in July 2019.

The upcoming fourth season has big shoes to fill, as the third season was incredibly successful among fans and ended on quite the cliffhanger. The fourth season of Stranger Things will air on an undetermined date in mid-2022. It will likely air in July, like the previous season.

The period drama series Bridgerton is based on Julia Quinn’s eponymous novel series. The show quickly rose to stardom with its premiere airing on Christmas last year. The eight-episode series made Netflix history by being the most-watched series at the time of its premiere, and the second most-watched Netflix series of all time, behind only Squid Game.

Bridgerton became so popular among viewers that it wasn’t only renewed for a second season, but also a third and fourth, as announced by its creator, Chris Van Dusen. The second season of Bridgerton will premiere on Netflix on March 25 this year and fans can’t wait.

8 Outlander Fans Are Ecstatic For The Newest Season

This hit Starz series first premiered in 2014 and is set to air its sixth season on March 6. Each season is based on a different book in the series. Outlander closely follows the life of Claire Randall, an English woman who once served as a nurse during World War II.

Claire gets transported through time when she touches the standing stones while on vacation with her husband in Scotland. Claire finds herself in 1700s Scotland, where she falls in love with the dashing flame-haired Jamie Fraser.

7 The Crown’s Newest Season Will Focus More On Princess Diana

Margaret, Elizabeth, and Phillip in The Crown

The Crown is a historical drama Netflix series that makes history by having one of the priciest production budgets of all time. The show portrays the reign of Queen Elizabeth II, starting just before her coronation in the first season. As the seasons progress, the actors who play certain historical figures change according to their ages, like the Queen herself, Prince Margaret, and Prince Phillip. The fifth season of The Crown will air on Netflix in November and focuses on the life of Princess Diana and her tumultuous marriage with Prince Charles.

6 Russian Doll’s Second Season Was Delayed Due To The Pandemic

Ever heard of Déjà vu? This Netflix series basically employs this French phrase for its plotline. The eight-episode first season of Russian Doll first premiered in February 2019 and stars Natasha Lyonne, known for her role in Orange Is the New Black.

Lyonne’s character, Nadia, is a software engineer stuck in a Groundhog Day-like time loop, but in this case, she has to figure out why she keeps dying. On her journey to discovery, she meets another person named Alan, trapped in the same situation as she is. The success of the first season led to the renewal of a second season, which will air sometime late this year.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel has garnered multiple awards, like a Golden Globe and a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series since its premiere in March 2017. The success of this Amazon Prime show led to the renewal of its fourth season, which will premiere on February 18 this year.

4 The Mandalorian Season 3 Will Hopefully Air In 2022

The first season brought much praise, along with seven Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards. While the third season is set to release on an undetermined date, it is likely the premiere will occur this fall.

3 Peaky Blinders Will Air Its Final Season This Year

With the renewal of more and more shows this year, it also means that some shows will air their final seasons. Peaky Blinders is a British period crime drama set after the events of the First World War. The series portrays the street gang with the same name in Birmingham, England, who were active in the late 19th century and early 1900s. Cillian Murphy stars in the lead role of Thomas “Tommy” Shelby in Peaky Blinders, which first aired in 2013. The series will air its sixth and final season on an unknown date in the early months of this year.

1 The Charmed Reboot Received Mixed Reviews

The 2000s classic TV series Charmed received a 2018 reboot, which will premiere its fourth season on March 11 this year. The series has earned mixed reviews from viewers and features no involvement from the original cast. The Charmed reboot follows a similar plotline of the original series, with a trio of sisters with magical powers living in the fictitious town of Hilltowne, MI. The reboot, however, has its differences from the original through its women of color and LGBT representation. This idea brought in much praise from old fans of the 2000s show and new fans.
