Ann L. Palermo, age 96, a longtime resident of Naperville, IL, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2022 at her home. She was born on October 25, 1925 in Independence, MO. Daughter of the late Tom and Alexandra Kokas; loving wife of 59 years to the late Vincent J. Palermo; mother of the late Vincent J. (Doris), Thomas J., the late Richard C. (Jennifer) and Anthony (Cherie) Palermo; grandmother of Ricky and Mikey Palermo, Anne (Bill) Shaeffer and the late Jeanne Palermo; great-grandmother of four; sister of the late Mary (the late Harry) Andritsis, the late Terry Kokas, the late Lillian (the late Dr. Louis) Stamas, Angelo (the late Fran) Kokas and the late Sam (the late Nancy) Kokas; aunt of many nieces and nephews. Ann was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who always put others before herself. She enjoyed golf, Bible study, reading and traveling. For those who would like to leave a lasting tribute to Ann’s life, memorial donations may be directed to the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 12, 11:00 AM at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 36 N. Ellsworth St., Naperville. Interment will be at SS.
