Barbara Q. Sullivan, age 87, of Naperville, IL, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on September 28, 1934 in Oak Park, IL to her loving late parents, John and Gertrude Meiers. Cherished wife of Thomas F. Sullivan, wedded on September 25, 1982. Beloved mother of Theresa (the late Ramachandran Puthuval) Quain and step-mother of Susan Sullivan, Catey (Mike DeLonay) Sullivan, and Jennifer (Rich) Cicciu. Adored grandmother of Sarala (Daniel McCloy) Puthuval, Kannan (Gina Robles) Puthuval, and Tommy Cicciu. Great-grandmother of Elijah Robles, Valentina Puthuval, Chandran McCloy, and Leila Puthuval. Dearest sister of the late Thomas Meiers and Jack Meiers. Barbara attended Trinity High School and Rosary College. She loved children and taught 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades at SS. Peter and Paul School of Naperville from 1967-1994. After retiring, she worked part-time at St. Raphael Catholic School in Naperville. Barbara was deeply involved with St. Raphael parish and served in many different ways. She served on the Service Ministry Commission, as a Lector and Eucharistic Minister, as a member of the Resurrection Choir, and as a leader or member of many other church groups. She loved gardening, entertaining her many friends at her home, and, most importantly, caring for her family.
