Battery, Retail Theft, Warrant: New Lenox Police Reports

The following information is from the New Lenox Police Department. An arrest or charge is not an indication of guilt.


March 21

  • Michael A. Mounts, 37, of Lisle, was charged with battery. According to police reports, an officer was dispatched to the 200 block of Foxhill Court for a report of a battery. The officer met with the victim and learned that Mounts punched the victim in the face following a verbal argument. Mounts was arrested and taken to the NLPD. Mounts posted bond and was released.

  • Randy T. Lyles, 32, of Joliet, was charged with driving while license suspended. According to police reports, an officer was on patrol and witnessed a vehicle speeding while in traffic. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and met with the driver, Lyles. The officer learned that Lyles had a suspended driver’s license. Lyles was arrested and taken to the NLPD. Lyles posted bond and was released.

March 24

  • Anthony D. Gant, 32, of Joliet, was charged with driving while license suspended. According to police reports, an officer was on patrol and found the vehicle to have improper registration. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and met with the driver, Gant. The officer learned that Gant had a suspended driver’s license. Gant was arrested and taken to the NLPD. Gant posted bond and was released.
  • Francis J. Ruggiero, 18, of New Lenox, was arrested on an in-state warrant. According to police reports, an officer was aware of an active Will County warrant for Ruggiero. While on patrol the officer met with Ruggiero. The officer confirmed the warrant and took Ruggiero into custody. Ruggiero taken to the NLPD. Ruggiero was transferred to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.

  • Robert Richards, 48, of Joliet, was charged with retail theft. According to police reports,an officer was dispatched to Walmart for a retail theft report. The officer learned that Richards had taken approximately $191 worth of merchandise without paying. Richards was arrested and taken to the NLPD. Richards posted bond and was released.

March 27

  • Jonathan J. Orcutt, 30, of Joliet, was charged with driving while license suspended. According to police reports, an officer was on patrol and found the vehicle to have expired registration. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and met with the driver, Orcutt. The officer learned that Orcutt had a suspended driver’s license. Orcutt was arrested and taken to the NLPD. Orcutt posted bond and was released.

March 28

  • John A. Karl, 61, of New Lenox, was charged with driving while license revoked. According to police reports, an officer was on patrol and witnessed a vehicle commit a moving violation in traffic. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and met with the driver, Karl. The officer learned that Karl had a revoked driver’s license. Karl was arrested and taken to the NLPD. Karl posted bond and was released.

March 29

  • Jennifer T. Oriente, 45, of Joliet, was charged with retail theft. According to police reports,an officer was dispatched to Walmart for a retail theft report. The officer learned that Oriente had taken approximately $321 worth of merchandise without paying. Oriente was arrested and taken to the NLPD. Oriente posted bond and was released.

March 31

  • William C. Sevening, 22, of Joliet, was was charged with driving while license suspended. According to police reports, an officer was on patrol and witnessed a vehicle speeding while in traffic. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and met with the driver, Sevening. The officer learned that Sevening had a suspended driver’s license. Sevening was arrested and taken to the NLPD. Sevening posted bond and was released.

April 1

  • Jonathan A. Almonord, 22, of Richton Park, was arrested on an in-state warrant. According to police reports, an officer was on patrol and witnessed the vehicle speeding in traffic. The officer met with the driver of the vehicle and learned that Almonord had an active warrant out of Cook County. Almonord was arrested and taken to the NLPD. Almonord posted bond and was released.
