Hello Illini fans!
My name is Brianna Nykaza and I am a junior infielder from Chicago,IL. I am studying psychology in hopes to become a sports psychologist as well as a coach when I am older!
We just got back from our trip to Clemson, South Carolina to kick off our spring break. Although it was colder than expected, we didn’t let it affect us. We played Liberty twice as well as Clemson. Although our 2-2 weekend was not the weekend that we were hoping for, we learned a lot as a team and will use this to grow throughout the rest of our season. We have our first home series this Wednesday which is a double header for our annual “Bragging Rights” against The University of Missouri. We are very excited for this double header because the last time we played them was when Covid hit and sent all of us home two years ago. We are confident that we can beat anyone no matter who we play. We believe that we have made a name for ourselves and will continue to shock the world with our team. We hope to see you all in the stands soon!
