Betty J. Pavlich
Betty J. Pavlich (nee Buffer), “Nanee”, age 89, longtime resident of Crest Hill and recently Shorewood. Nanee passed away, peacefully, on Monday, September 5, 2022. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her two great-grandsons, Kevie and Ryan. They both kept her very busy and full of joy. Betty was born on July 8, 1933.
Preceded in death by her husband, Victor; her parents, Dominic, and Teresa (nee Fiocchi) Buffer; and her in-laws, Anton, and Evelyn (nee Stiglich) Pavlich.
Survived by her son, Bill; daughter, Sharon Cullen; granddaughter, Michelle (Kevin) Lynn; great-grandsons, Kevin and Ryan Lynn, and her best friend (her “sister”) Jeanne Juricic.
Betty was a parishioner of St. Anne Catholic Church in Crest Hill and a member of the Joliet Senior Club. She volunteered, for decades, for the Lockport High School Reality Program and the Rialto Theater. Betty was a huge and devoted fan of Bobby Vinton, Homer Mustang basketball, and Lockport Porter baseball. She also had a passion for metal detecting and traveling the country, with her husband, in their camper. Betty will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1702 Dearborn St., Crest Hill, IL on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. Internment to follow at St. Mary Nativity Cemetery in Crest Hill. In lieu of flowers, donations made in her name to Lightways Hospice Care will be appreciated.
