A total of three people were injured in a shooting Friday evening Fashion Outlets of Chicago, according to authorities.
Photos from the scene showed several emergency vehicles outside the mall at approximately 8 p.m. In a tweet, the Rosemont Department of Public Safety said an isolated shooting took place inside the mall, and there was no active shooter.
Two people sustained gunshot wounds and were transported to the hospital in critical condition. The third person who was shot fled the scene, according to police.
One witness told NBC 5 they were on the phone when four to five shots suddenly erupted, people began running and sirens went off.
Update: no active shooter. An isolated shooting took place inside the mall. 2 confirmed gunshot victims have been transported to the hospital. A search of the mall the clear rooms is underway. Offender is not on scene.

A reunification site was set up at the Murray Bros. Caddyshack Restaurant, 9546 Balmoral Ave. Anyone looking to reunite with loved ones should head there, police said.
