Former President Donald Trump will visit northeast Ohio next week to campaign with Republican J.D. Vance as the state’s competitive U.S. Senate race heats up.
Trump is scheduled to hold a rally on Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. in Youngstown. The event comes just weeks after Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, a potential rival to Trump in 2024, stumped with Vance in the same part of the state.
Youngstown is part of U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan’s congressional district. Ryan is running against Vance for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by retiring Sen. Rob Portman.
