JOLIET, IL — Several Joliet police officers and firefighter/paramedics converged on Jackson Street and Youngs Avenue, on the city’s east side, for a wreck involving three vehicles. One person involved in the wreck tried running away, according to Joliet Facebook Live’s Bob Hernandez.
It happened around 10 p.m. The three vehicles in the crash were a car, truck and a sports utility vehicle. The one that was flipped over on its side was the truck.
Joliet police informed Hernandez that the person who ran from the crash was captured. One person was also injured in the collision and taken to the hospital by a Joliet Fire Department ambulance.

As of 10:30 p.m. Joliet police still had Jackson Street closed to traffic from Parks Avenue all the way to Henderson Avenue.
