Judy A. Hondrombilas, age 72, of Plainfield, IL and Chicago’s Brighton Park Community, passed away suddenly, Saturday, January 15, 2022. She was born September 22, 1949 in Chicago to her loving late father, William Schultz. Cherished wife of the late John Hondrombilas, wedded for 53 years.
Beloved mother of Shane (Roxann, nee Fontana) Hondrombilas, George (April, nee Washington) Hondrombilas, and Eftehia “Tia” Kempski.
Adored grandma of Shane Jr. Hondrombilas, Jessica “Jessa” (Michael) Molina, Nicole and Dylan Corbin and the late Jennifer Carmel Hondrombilas.
Dearest sister of William (Patricia) Schultz, Jr., Rita (John) Johnson, Charles (Sandy) Ucherek and Donna Ucherek. Aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Judy was born in Chicago but raised in California and eventually came back to Chicago. She was a long time dedicated waitress of Huck Finn Restaurant on Archer Ave. in Chicago for many years. Judy loved her family especially her grandchildren.
Memorial Visitation: Tuesday, January 25th 4:00-7:00 PM at Overman-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 15219 S. Joliet Rd., Plainfield, IL 60540. Memorial Service to follow at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment is private.
