Mr. Bobby Fitzgerald Taylor, II, 32, of Aurora, CO, formerly of Galesburg, IL passed away at 7:11 pm CT on Monday, March 7, 2022, in The Medical Center of Aurora South Campus Hospital, Aurora, CO.
Bobby was born on February 9, 1990, in Galesburg, IL to Bobbykines Taylor Sr. and Rebecca (Harris) Cribbs.
Bobby was a graduate of Rock Island High School, Rock Island, IL in 2009. He worked for Bueller Moving Company as a driver.
Bobby loved the Lord. He attended Full Gospel Church, Galesburg, IL and Second Baptist Church, Rock Island, IL. He read his Bible and frequently shared scriptures and inspirational messages with friends and family to help them along their journey.
Bobby was very creative and quick-witted. At one point, he was known as “Bobby T the Melody” because of his ability to freestyle rap without relying on prepared lyrics. He was also incredibly funny. Anyone who knew him has enjoyed his quirky sense of humor and observational comedic skills that led him to briefly pursue standup comedy.
Bobby was an avid PlayStation gamer; playing online and making friends from all over the world. Even in the virtual world Bobby was a leader and was sometimes referred to as “Coach Bobby” because he loved to encourage and motivate others.
Bobby loved to learn and gained knowledge from numerous sources, including listening to audiobooks. He conducted research on a wide variety of topics that interested him. He was wise and advised his beloved nieces and nephews of the importance of gaining knowledge whenever and wherever possible, and to not waste time in this life being afraid to try new things.
Bobby leaves to cherish his most precious memories, his parents, Rebecca (Harry) Cribbs of Davenport, IA and Bobbykines Taylor, Sr. of Aurora, CO; two brothers, Matthew Harris of Rock Island, IL and Cedric Johnson of Waukegan, IL; three sisters: Gracie Taylor and Brytney Walton (James), both of Champaign, IL and Kayla Cribbs (Veyonka Owens)) of Clarksville, TN; grandmother, Freda Hall of Galesburg, IL; 10 nieces and nephews: Araya, Clowie, Cayden, Kennedy, Matthew, Jr., Ashanti, Tayla, Jayden, Jayvin and Jaylee; special cousins: Michala Nunn, Michaella Warner and Myneka Warner; best friends/brothers: Charles and Aryan Nunn, Dakota and Jacquia Bevers, and Blake Ebert; bonus family, William, Felicia and Briah Nunn; aunts: Lisa Harris (Jerry Townsell), Rhonda Perry (Mike), Riki Gordon, Lynzetta Taylor, and Brenda McGeorge (Michael); uncles, James Taylor and Ronald Hall; and many other family and friends who loved him. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Marvin Harris, Ronnie Hall and James and Gracie Taylor, and great-grandparents, Roland Sr. and Rebecca McDougald.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at First Church of the Open Bible, Galesburg, IL with a 2 hour visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Pastors Mark and Debbie Dexter are the host pastors. Pastor Antonio Franklin of Full Gospel Church will bring forth the eulogy. Bobby will be laid to rest at East Linwood Cemetery, Galesburg, IL.
