Pauline M. Wilhelmson, 89, of Rockford, IL passed away peacefully Saturday, March 5, 2022 in her home. She was born December 17, 1932 in Rockford, IL. She was the daughter of Harold and Irene Selgren. She graduated from East High School. She went on to marry her high school sweetheart, Charles Wilhelmson, on July 17, 1954 and together they raised four girls. Prior to retiring, she was employed for 20 years by Alpine Water Softener. Pauline enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping and traveling. She was always up for a family party. Pauline will be loved and missed.
Survivors include daughters, Denise (Jay) Bielefeldt, Lisa Wilhelmson, Sara (Gary) Bunch; grandchildren, Jodi (Tim) Wendler, Kurtis Bielefeldt, Kristen (fiancé Alex) Victorov, Brandon Bunch; great grandchildren, Avery and Mason Wendler and Jaxson Bielefeldt; special brother-in-law, Ronald Fowler; and nephew, Mike Fowler. Predeceased by husband, Charles; daughter, Jan Heivilin; sister, Charlotte Fowler; nephew, Doug Fowler; brother, Harold Selgren; and parents. The family would like to thank the staff of OSF Hospice for their care and kindness during this difficult time.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, March 10, 2022 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory – Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park with a visitation from 10:00 am until time of service. Burial will be held at 2:30 pm, Thursday, March 10, 2022 in Scandinavian Cemetery, Rockford.
