Rockford, IL- The Rockford IceHogs return home for back-to-back weekend games with the Texas Stars tonight at 6:00 p.m. at BMO Harris Bank Center! Tonight is the seventh of eight meetings and final weekend series between the two Central Division clubs this season.

Season Series All Comes Down to the Weekend
Entering the weekend, the IceHogs look to gain critical points in the Central Division standings with the opportunity to win the season series against the Stars. Heading into tonight’s matchup the IceHogs hold a 3-3-0-0 against Texas. Rockford looks to snap their three-game losing streak after a weekend sweep by the Grand Rapids Griffins and a 4-3 loss to the Iowa Wild last night.
Salvin Pavin’ the Way
In his first game back as an IceHog after being up with the Blackhawks since early February, forward Josiah Slavin scored twice in last night’s contest against the Wild for his first multi-goal game of the season. It was Slavin’s fifth and sixth goals of the year and first goal as an IceHog since Nov. 19.
Mitchell On a Roll
IceHogs defenseman Ian Mitchell has hit stride, recording five goals and four assists in his last nine games. Mitchell is also tied for first among AHL blueliners with four power play goals and three game-winning goals. Additionally, Mitchell’s two shootout-winning goals rank first in the league as well.
After tomorrow’s rematch, the IceHogs will start a five-game road trip beginning in Winnipeg, Manitoba when they take on the Manitoba Moose on Thursday, March 2 at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, March 5 at 2:00 p.m. From there the IceHogs will make stops in Milwaukee and Cleveland before returning home to take on Grand Rapids on Saturday, March 19 at 6:00 p.m.
