JOLIET, IL — Antoine Matthews and his father Antoine Matthews Sr. opened their Nu Sole athletic apparel and sneaker store at 1009 West Jefferson Street in August, and this Saturday marks the locally owned store’s biggest event —the grand opening gala will feature catering from the Tacanijo Food Truck, food from Jerk Flavors restaurant and a special appearance from R&B superstar Jacquees.

Jacquees has 5.2 million fans on Instagram. The American singer and songwriter from Decatur, Georgia signed with Cash Money Records and one of his most popular singles came out in 2018, “B.E.D.”

Jacquees is expected to arrive at Nu Sole around 4 p.m. and he will stay about an hour.
