LAKE COUNTY, IL — The following information comes from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

Every person arrested is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

  • John A. Stark, 75, of the 700 block of Tahoe Trail, Elgin, had a warrant for driving under the influence, and was arrested Sept. 12 in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. Bond was set at $20,000 and a court date of Sept. 20 was assigned.
  • Jennifer M. Waschow, 32, of the 42400 block of N. Poplar Street, unincorporated Antioch, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, no insurance, and was arrested Sept. 12 at Grass Lake Road and Lake Street, unincorporated Antioch. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of Oct. 12 was assigned.
  • Elyzeth Gomez, 25, of the 2800 block of Brookside Avenue, Waukegan, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested Sept. 13 at Gages Lake Road and Tanqueray Drive, unincorporated Gurnee. Bond was set at $3,000 and a future court date was to be determined at the time of the report.
  • Gabriel M. Garcia, 23, of the 25600 block of W. Arcade Drive, unincorporated Lake Villa, had a warrant out of McHenry County for driving under the influence, and was arrested Sept. 15 in unincorporated Lake Villa. Bond was set at $20,000 and a future court date in McHenry County was to be determined at the time of the report.
  • Gregorio E. Funes, 33, of the 700 block of Holdridge Avenue, Winthrop Harbor, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested Sept. 16 at Wadsworth Road and Chicago Avenue, Wadsworth. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of Oct. 26 was assigned.
  • Alicia Lira-Garcia, 55, of the 2900 block of Ezekiel Avenue, Zion, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested Sept. 16 at Wadsworth Road and Lewis Avenue, Beach Park. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of Oct. 19 was assigned.
  • David S. Bothwell, 37, of the 1600 block of W. Woods Drive, Arlington Heights, is accused of driving under the influence of drugs, and was arrested Sept. 17 in the 20900 block of N. Quentin Road, Kildeer. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of Oct. 19 was assigned.
  • Angel E. Rivera, 68, of the 2700 block of Vermont Avenue, Waukegan, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested Sept. 17 at Yorkhouse Road and Geraghty Avenue, Beach Park. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of Oct. 5 was assigned.
  • Juan L. Campos-Zavala, 66, of the 0-100 block of N. Lewis Avenue, Waukegan, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, open transportation of alcohol, and was arrested Sept. 18 at Delany Road and Yorkhouse Road, unincorporated Waukegan. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of Oct. 26 was assigned.
  • Ivan Sytko, 35, of the 800 block of E. Castle Court, Palatine, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested Sept. 18 at Route 176 and Fairfield Road, unincorporated Wauconda. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of Oct. 19 was assigned.

NO DRIVER’S LICENSE

  • A 28-year-old Palatine resident is accused of no driver’s license, and was arrested Sept. 12 at Route 53 and Lake Cook Road, Long Grove. Bond was set at $1,500.
  • A 21-year-old Wauconda resident is accused of no driver’s license, no insurance, and was arrested Sept. 14 at Route 12 and Wilmette Terrace, Lake Zurich. Bond was set at $2,000.

FLEEING AND ELUDING

Kejuan K. Little, 33, of the 2200 block of Ezekiel Avenue, Zion, had a warrant out of Racine, Wisconsin, for fleeing and eluding, and was arrested Sept. 13 in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. Bond was set at $25,035, and a future court date in Racine County was to be determined at the time of the report.

DOMESTIC BATTERY

  • Charles A. Leibritz, 34, of the 800 block of Sandra Lane, Cary, had a warrant out of DeKalb County for domestic battery, and was arrested Sept. 14 in the 2700 block of Hartigan Road, Volo. Bond was set at $5,000 and a future court date in DeKalb County was to be determined at the time of the report.
  • Miglena M. Milena, 41, of the 25200 block of N. West Tower Drive, Tower Lakes, is accused of domestic battery, and was arrested Sept. 16 in the Tower Lakes. Bond was set at $25,000 and a court date of Oct. 7 was assigned.
  • Laurence Blandon, 20, of the 2800 block of Galilee Avenue, Zion, is accused of aggravated domestic battery, assault, criminal damage to property, and was arrested Sept. 17 in the 38500 block of N. Sheridan Road, Beach Park. Bond was set at $50,000 and a court date of Sept. 20 was assigned.
  • Vittorio P. Campbell, 38, of the 33500 block of N. Idlewild Drive, unincorporated Grayslake, is accused of aggravated domestic battery involving strangulation, resisting a peace officer, and was arrested Sept. 17 in unincorporated Grayslake. Bond was set at $30,000 and a court date of Oct. 13 was assigned.
  • Charles Manahan, 58, of the 28000 block of N. Hickory Lane, unincorporated Wauconda, is accused of domestic battery, and was arrested Sept. 18 in unincorporated Wauconda. Bond was set at $25,000 and a court date of Sept. 28 was assigned.

POSSESSION OF METH

Ashley D. Konrath, 25, of the 300 block of Bridgewood Drive, Antioch, had a warrant for possession of meth, and was arrested Sept. 14 in the 2700 block of W. Hartigan Road, Volo. Bond was set at $50,000 and a court date of Oct. 6 was assigned.

BATTERY TO A PEACE OFFICER

Jennifer L. Beese, 40, of the 6700 block of Chillems Drive, Spring Grove, is accused of aggravated battery to a peace officer, resisting arrest, and was arrested Sept. 14 in the 2300 block of W. Lake Shore Drive, unincorporated Antioch. Bond was set at $25,000 and a court date of Oct. 11 was assigned.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED/REVOKED

  • A 45-year-old Round Lake resident is accused of driving while his license was suspended, and was arrested Sept. 14 at Routes 59 and 22, Lake Barrington. Bond was set at $1,500.
  • Anthony Barnes, 24, of the 100 block of Grand Avenue, Lake Villa, is accused of driving while license was revoked, no insurance, and was arrested Sept. 16, at Route 59 and Wilson Road, Ingleside. Bond was set at $2,000.

VIOLATION OF AN ORDER OF PROTECTION

Charles J. Falk, 63, of Kenosha, Wisconsin, had a warrant for violation of an order of protection, and was arrested Sept. 15 in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. Bond was set at $35,000 and a court date of Sept. 29 was assigned.

OPERATING A WATERCRAFT UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL

Michael J. Blomstrand, 55, of the 5000 block of Carpenter Avenue, Oswego, is accused of operating a watercraft under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested Sept. 17 on Nippersink Lake. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of Nov. 26 was assigned.

PAROLE VIOLATION

James R. Henson, 55, of the 4400 block of W. Bull Valley Road, McHenry, had a warrant for a parole violation, and was arrested Sept. 18 at Plum Tree and Cuba roads, unincorporated Barrington. There was no bond and a future court date was to be determined at the time of the report.
